Job description / Role
Objective: To make structural design for municipal approval, engineering plan reviews, utility design and various other engineering related responsibilities for making design, Site supervision and execution.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Making design drawings before submissions and applying to Municipality regulations
• Perform the required structural analysis needed for the design, coordinating with other departments (Architectural and MEP ).
• Making design and taking into consideration the client budget.
• Prepare requests for proposals and bids, review contract bids and proposals.
• Review weekly and monthly reports presented by Contractor, Consultant and present to Project Manager .
• Review and approval of Contractor's payment certificates as per cash flow and variations.
• Monitor construction progress on daily basis and report to the management on the progress .
• Attend weekly site meetings with the contractor and consultant and report to Project manager.
• Act as a project engineer, research applicable codes, regulations and requirements for assigned project, develop engineering plans and compile preliminary layout of plans.
• Making Quantity Schedule before starting project and compare with the Quantity submit by the main Contractor.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in the structural design and detailing of building structures.
• Proficient in the use of spreadsheets and design software (ETABS, SAP, SAFE, STAAD, etc.)
• Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
• Qualified on Dubai Municipality (G+4) as Design Engineer
• Arabic speaker
• UAE driving license

The Dulsco story began in 1935 when Mohammed Khan Abdulla Mirza Abdulla, the father of the present Chairman of Dulsco, Abdul Aziz Mohammed Khan Abdulla, appointed some able-bodied men to row their dhows through the Dubai Creek to a British India Steam Navigation Company owned ship at anchor in the Arabian Gulf, and bring ashore its cargo of foodstuff and clothing.
