Structural Engineer

Job description / Role

• To take full ownership and to provide structural calculations and CAD drawings in support of the company’s marketing strategy with regard to Façade and drywall systems.
• Responsible for providing bespoke structural calculation support to the Specification and Project Sales team to provide complete technical solutions for major projects.
• Develop and present structural calculations in market acceptable software like SAP 2000, TEKLA TEDDS, third party fixing/anchor calculations, etc.
• Professional and expert reply/substantiation/clarification to all the structural comments raised by the customer
• Manage the sign off process of all the structural drawings and details created by design team
• Engage in local groups, online social media, both inside and outside the Group, that focus on latest Façade and Drywall system solutions to the construction industry
• The priority is to support the Technical, Specification and Sales teams across the Middle East through structural calculation support and detailing.

Requirements

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Masters Degree in Structural Engineering
• Proficiency in structural software

Experience
• Construction industry background with 2-3 years’ structural engineering experience
• Practical and logical knowledge of construction products and building systems
• Requires high influencing capability to influence the stake holders
• Façade and drywall industry experience would be an added advantage
