Job description / Role
The successful candidate will be a Chartered Civil/Structural Engineer and have extensive experience of working in this field, including experience of leading a team, managing projects and developing business. As a heavy emphasis will also be placed on developing the existing team, competency with civils/structural design and the various design software packages along with the production of technical specification documents and drawings is also required.
The role:
- Continue to retain work with existing clients
- Overseeing projects from design stage to completion
- Lead on multi-disciplinary bids and projects
- Assisting with the mentoring and training of engineers
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience
- Hold a relevant Civil Engineering degree
- Member of Institute of Construction and Engineering, or similar professional status.
- In depth knowledge and application of Construction Design Management Regulations (CDM).
- Excellent experience and leadership in the design and management for structural and non-structural aspects,
- Articulate in the preparation and delivery of business cases, contracts and associated specifications.
- Inspirational communicator, to lead multi-disciplinary teams in development and design solutions.
- Proven record of leading and winning tender opportunities, through the development of customer relationships.
