Structure Draftsman

Guildhall is working with a leading construction company to fill the position of Structural Draftsman for a bridge construction project in Ras Al Khaimah. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural drafting, with specific experience in bridge construction. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented draftsman to contribute to a prestigious infrastructure project in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare detailed structural drawings and designs for bridge construction projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
• Work closely with the engineering and project teams to translate design concepts into detailed working drawings.
• Review and analyze technical drawings, specifications, and construction plans to ensure structural integrity and compliance with local codes and standards.
• Assist in the preparation of design calculations, layout plans, and other technical documents as needed.
• Coordinate with engineers and project managers to resolve any issues related to design or drafting and suggest practical solutions.
• Update and revise drawings based on design changes, site conditions, or client requests.
• Ensure that all drawings are completed on time and in accordance with project schedules and requirements.
• Provide support for site staff and contractors by clarifying any design-related queries during the construction phase.
• Ensure that all drawings comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

• A diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is a plus.
• 4+ years of experience as a Structural Draftsman in the construction industry.
• At least 1 bridge construction project experience is required.
• Proficient in using drafting software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, design, and construction techniques, particularly in bridge design.
• Ability to interpret and produce detailed structural drawings and design documentation.
• Knowledge of local and international codes, standards, and regulations relevant to bridge construction.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting work.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and coordinate effectively with engineers, contractors, and project managers.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
