Job description / Role
The Supervisor will be an integral part of the operations processes and will take a proactive approach in leading and directing team members. The Supervisor will create a safe environment and an on-time handling process for flydubai flights. This will require close collaboration and communication with our ground handling partner, stakeholders, customers and colleagues.
Key Accountabilities
Key Activities
- Lead, direct and motivate ramp team members on a shift basis.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to maximizing resources and gaining efficiency in a live operational environment.
- Ensure best practice and compliance with handling processes and service level agreement by dnata.
- Identify critical short baggage connections and implement an action plan.
- Report and investigate ramp hazards and occurrences as per flydubai procedures.
- Ensure ramp compliance with all procedures and guidelines published by flydubai.
- Responsible for promoting a continuous improvement culture.
- Reduce flydubai ramp handling costs by proactively managing GSE usage, minimizing left behind baggage and driving on time performance culture within the flydubai ramp team
- Represent flydubai at daily GHA/FZ - Ramp & BRS Operational Performance meeting.
- Compile a daily ramp report providing accurate and factual information. Review shift information, identify trends and formulate improvement plans.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications / Experience/ Knowledge / Skills
Minimum Qualification
- University degree or equivalent on the job experience
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years airline experience with sound knowledge in ramp operation
Knowledge / Skills
- Proficient in English language with the ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written channels
- Skilled in Microsoft Office, report writing and data interpretation.
