Key Responsibilities

• Review lift plans for non-routine (complex and critical categories), weighing procedures, and loadout manuals with Construction Support Operations (CSO) department at home office. Must be in line with Petrofac and project HSSE policies and guidelines.
• Work closely with construction lead and team leads to develop lift and haul schedules at site and assist wide optimization and utilization of lifting resources according to site priorities.
• Assess lifting and hauling operations to provide planning, selection of crane, lifting gear and equipment, instruction, and necessary safety precautions.
• Support in developing lift study, heavy haul plans, weighing and loadout plans, method statements and JSAs.
• Conduct daily site audits to ensure HSE and lifting and hauling inspections and procedure compliance.
• Monitor project lifting and rigging operations to ensure all lifts are performed in accordance with approved rigging plans and procedures.
• Act as a qualified person for all load-out, load-in and erection activities using lifting equipment.
• Ensure all lifting and hauling equipment are well maintained, inspected and certified by approved third party and meets the regulatory frequency.
• Ensure all personnel involved in lifting and hauling operations are trained, competent and third party certified.
• Review and approve routine lift plans, rigging and lifting procedures and lift studies including subcontractor's lift plans.
• Confirm there is an effective procedure for reporting defects and incidents and taking any corrective action.
• Ensure that the implementation of Petrofac procedures are in place and subcontractors are adhering to them.
• Support in conducting Verification of Competency assessments onsite.
• Input site construction feedback in Construction Observation Form.

Knowledge & Qualifications

• 2+ years of rigging and lifting site experience in direct hire construction with an international oil and gas EPC company and with subcontractors overseeing or managing project lifting and rigging operations in all stages including modular, static, rotating equipment as well as heavy and oversize transport operations.
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a rigging supervisor.
• Must be a college graduate, preferably an engineer by profession.

Preference will be given to candidates who meet the following criteria:

• Experience working in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS and FSU), Middle East, and/or North Africa.
• Prior experience working with a diverse international workforce.
