Job description / Role
Job Purpose
Plan, supervise and perform scaffolding activities to aid in the construction, maintenance and repair in the Plant meeting required quality in line with Company HSE standards.
Job Specific Accountabilities
- Plan, schedule, coordinate and perform the daily and emergency scaffolding work and obtain permit for access in the Plant.
- Supervise the work of the maintenance contractor to ensure the standard and quality of work executed according to prescribed specifications.
- Inspect scaffolding structure and certify as per approved procedures to ensure safe operations.
- Prepare reports on allocation of labor/materials, cost, Quality of workmanship, Safety performance and productivity.
- Participate and conduct daily / weekly safety toolbox talks to discuss on safety and methods of completing job tasks.
- Participates in the development of scaffolding contracts, specifically compilation of bills of materials and technical specifications.
- Ensure the safe and efficient maintenance of scaffolding equipment meeting agreed maintenance and safety procedures.
- Maintain scaffolding material count register for each consignment and update on daily basis to tally the stock at yard and material used at site.
- Monitor scaffolding materials inventory and supervise the delivery and dismantling of scaffolding materials/ equipment to ensure the highest standards of efficiency and safety.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualification
- Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- 5 years of experience, in scaffolding system, scaffolding types, materials, manpower qualifications and skills field within a large industrial organization, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry
- Revenues/ Budget: As per approved financial budget
- Direct Reports: As per organization chart
- Indirect Reports: As per organization chart
