Supply Chain Cost Accountant

A highly accredited global supplier of inspections and maintenance expertise, this new client to Irwin & Dow takes great pride in providing the highest standards of health and safety to its oil and gas customers. They also actively work in partnership with awarding accreditation bodies and industry events and forums to ensure quality and safety is at the core of their business.

With offices across the region, they are now seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to join the Dubai team. For this role it is essential that you have experience within supply chain finance as you will be heavily involved in this process for analyzing spend, driving cost improvements, inventory control and reconciliations. Reporting directly to the Group Finance Controller and working alongside 1 other Accountant the expected duties will also include invoice entry and management, reconciliation, ongoing cost and margin analysis, VAT returns, month end and assistance with the annual audit. Part of the role will also include chasing of due payments and aged debt and ensuring as a team that all deadlines are met.

Requirements

Candidates wishing to apply for this vacancy must have a minimum of 2-3 years finance supply chain experience and ideally use of Quickbooks. You are expected to work well with others and have strong communication skills in order to manage supplier and vendor queries efficiently. The successful candidate will also be well educated with a relevant finance degree or accreditation.
