A US listed Oil and Gas business

The Role

The position is accountable for all aspects of Supply Chain Finance management and will report to Finance Director, Oil Field Chemicals Eastern Hemisphere in business partnering with Supply Chain operations management team

Key Responsibilities

* Lead bookkeeping and records according to US-GAAP and statutory accounting principles, company's administrative policies and procedures
* Provide timely and accurate reporting on inventory ageing & provisions, standard cost evolution and variations, raw material/feedstock impacts on P&L & cash flow
* Develop and improve Supply Chain cost accounting and management systems
* Drive the Supply Business Plan & Forecast process in partnering with Sales and commercial finance teams
* Closely monitor and control material, manufacturing, logistics & warehousing costs
* Lead business case evaluation for Capex projects and in controlling project cost attainment
* Continuous review and challenge of business processes with the objective of simplifying processes, driving automation and creating time for value add
* Drive the implementation and to communicate all corporate plant policies and procedures
* Ensure all internal and external audits are well planned and managed


Candidate Requirements

* Strong academic qualifications, full time MBA from a leading B-school and/or professional qualification ACA, ACCA, CIMA or alike is mandatory
* Minimum of 12-15 years of finance and accounting leadership experience with progressive responsibility, especially with exposure to international operations
* Commercial acumen in interpreting and understanding complex contracts a must
* Candidate should have a good business sense and be able to articulate the business status and risks & opportunities based on understanding of financials
* Must be currently holding a regional role in a manufacturing company
* People & team management experience a must
* Preference for UAE based candidates
* Experience in ERP systems like iScala, SAP, JDEdwards, etc. a must
* Excellent communications skills at various levels in the organization and excellent English
* A self-motivated and high energy individual who thrives in a highly dynamic environment characterized by growth, change and opportunity
* Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
* Solid knowledge of US GAAP / IAS and statutory accounting principles
