Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

An industrial products business, who are the leader in their market are currently looking for a Supply Chain Manager to lead the end to end supply chain operations, with a key focus on; Procurement, Forecasting, Supply planning, Supplier relationships, inbound & outbound freight operations & Inventory Control.

The business have recently won some big contracts, which is supporting some key growth plans that the business has over the next 2 years.

The role:
- Develop annual Supply and Logistics budgets and ensure budget compliance by managing and controlling departmental expenditure.
- Responsible for developing and establishing uniform policies / procedures / guidelines which support corporate objectives.
- Communicate key objectives to the supply chain teams.
- Management of Suppliers including contract preparation, pre-qualifications, compliance, price negotiations, quarterly business reviews and supplier performance metrics.
- Develop Supplier relationships to ensure a high level of service and quality is achieved.
- Continually evaluate the supply chain in order to improve processes, reduce costs, & maintain high levels of service & quality whilst respecting customer service expectations.
- Maintain constant communications channels with the Supply Chain & Operations teams and ensure objectives are understood and executed.
- Preempt Logistics, Statutory & Regulatory requirements in new territories including customs regulations, duties, taxation, clearance processes, requirements for ‘Regulated Products’ as defined by SONCAP, KUCAS, SASO and other State Authorities (Country Specific)
- Confer with Project Controls & Finance teams to forecast demand and create supply plans that ensure availability of materials or products.
- Support the Product Development Team by efficient management of new product procurement in line with marketing and sales goals.
- Define department KPI’s & assign projects with clearly defined key deliverable's.

Requirements

- Minimum 5 years supply chain management experience preferably within the Middle East.
- Working knowledge of shipping documentation, UAE / Free zone import & export procedures.
- Experience in commercial negotiations including credit negotiations.
- Ability to prioritize and proactively manage workload and problem solve.
- Strong and influential communication skills.
- Advanced user knowledge of MRP, demand planning and ERP tools.
- Proven organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of UAE Free Zone Rules & Regulations
- Strong knowledge of import / export requirements in MENA and ROW
- Additional Languages: French & Arabic
