Supply Chain Planner

Job description / Role

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Supply Chain Planner, who will plan, raise & manage purchase orders according to the standard procedure – from order calculation, order placing, supplier communications and inbound tracking by working with Freight Forwarders.
The job holder is responsible and accountable for (but not limited to) the following:

• Process owner for Purchase Order creation
• Plan and manage Purchase Orders accordingly to minimize out of stocks / maximize service levels
• Keep AX updated at all stages in the process
• To ensure all import documentation is up-to-date and transmitted on time to all relevant parties
• Create Purchase Orders in AX in-line with the agreed purchasing rules (safety stock days, working capital)
• Verifying order confirmation vs Purchase order (product, quantity, prices, availability)
• Highlight variance of the shipping docs vs Purchase Order (product, quantity, prices, availability)
• Ensure AX is always up to date with correct ETD, ETA
• Follow up on PO confirmation and highlighting un-confirmed PO’s within target
• To collect, create & communicate all master data in AX for all needed products following internal rules and process.
• To ensure that at all time, master data is updated & correct in all relevant systems.
• To conduct monthly shipment plan meeting with the internal and external stake holders.
• To review and manage the OOS and Excess stock of the assigned category.
• General administrative support to the Supply Chain team as directed

Requirements

Essential:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics/ Business Management / Supply Chain.
• Understanding/Experience working with an ERP
• Knowledge in International purchasing
• Computer literate
• Previous experience of FMCG environments and products
• Process oriented with systematic approach to issues.
• Excellent communicator in verbal and written mediums in English
• Strong numerical skills

• Multi-lingual
