Job description / Role
Engage Selection are currently working with a leading Architectural and Engineering consultant that are looking to recruit a Sustainability Manager to work on a Expo2020 project.
Responsibilities:
- Understand how sustainability fits into the broader context of a major global event
- Support the development and implementation of a sustainable event management strategy to ensure compliance with ISO 20121
- Support the development and implementation of a reporting framework to ensure compliance with GRI reporting requirements
- Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and regularly adapt to change
- Assist in the development of sustainable strategies to be implemented during the operational phase
- Manage the collection and analysis of relevant data and the production of GRI compliant reports
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience, with at least 8 years of sustainability experience
- A Bachelors Degree and/or post graduate education in sustainability, sustainability leadership, environmental management or related field
- Excellent technical knowledge and practical understanding of sustainability
- Ability to evaluate technical information and provide concise informed advice
- Fluent in English
- Experience with an internationally recognized sustainability rating systems such as LEED and CEEQUAL.
