Systems Analyst - MUST HAVE FINANCIAL SERVICES EXPERIENCE

Provides system administration services to customers and the business in the areas of operating systems as assigned. This includes contributing to the planning and design, installation and maintenance and server coordination activities to ensure system security, availability and efficient operating environment.

Description
* Installs or removes software, using supplied installation instructions and tools; follows agreed standards, agreed plans including where appropriate those for electrical work.
* Conducts tests of the software affected using supplied test procedures and diagnostic tools. Corrects malfunctions, and documents results in accordance with agreed procedures.
* Report details of all software items that have been installed and removed so that configuration management records can be updated.
* Resolve problems and faults concerning the installation software.
* Ensures that incidents and problems in systems and services are fully documented within the configuration management defect/problem reporting system.
* Classifies and prioritize unresolved incidents and participates in the problem investigation to discover root causes, and progresses the implementation of necessary remedial action.

Requirements

* BSc in Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent.
* Certification in system operations
* 5 years experience in computer operations including operating systems at a tier 1 financial
* Services firm

Essential:

* Windows server 2012 R2

* Group policies
* Virtualization using VMware

Desired:

* VEEAM backup and replication
* Storage
* Blade server technology
* Citrix xenapp
* IBM Bigfix
* Powershell
* Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM)
