Overview of the role

System analyst will play a crucial role in the design, development, implementation, configuration, upgrades, support, and maintenance of Microsoft NAV, BC, and D365 (F&O) solutions within existing and new expansion stores, with close coordination with digital and IT team, functional heads, and business users.

With emphasis on implementing various software solutions, service packs, hot fixes, and various IT tools for the IKEA stores within the UAE, Qatar, Egypt, and Oman with clearly defined business processes and working methods that are in line with the IKEA concept and Al-Futtaim Group's framework and guidelines.

What you will do

• Plan and execute upgrade and data migration from legacy systems to D365, ensuring quality and data integrity throughout the migration process while managing data governance and security policies.
• Collaborate with functional head to understand business needs and translate into functional requirements, documenting functional specifications and technical design documents, developing and customizing applications to meet business needs.
• Ensure on-time, quality, and cost-effective design, development, and delivery of all functional MS NAV, BC, and D365 projects and enhancement activities within the guidelines of the project methodology.
• Identify opportunities to streamline business processes and improve system efficiencies, recommend, and implement process changes to optimize functionalities in line with Al-Futtaim Group and IKEA principal guidelines.
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting issues, administering SQL databases to ensure continuous performance tuning, using Performance Monitor and other related monitoring and troubleshooting tools.

What equips you for the role

• Graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar discipline with 7+ years' experience.
• Experience in business analysis, system design and development, and implementation of ERP within retail industry.
• Strong understanding of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 solution and/or NAV/Business Central, Azure DevOps or other CI/CD tools.
• Sound knowledge of SQL database administration and programming.
• Proficient in programming languages like C/AL, AL, X++, C# etc.
• Certification in D365 and knowledge of software development methodologies would be an added advantage.
