System Engineer - Microsoft - Infrastructure - Active Directory - DHCP - DNS

Job description / Role

We have an opportunity for a Systems Engineer to join one of the UAE's largest banking organisations in their Dubai office.

The successful candidate will play a key part in driving the engineering function of their Microsoft-based products within their IT infrastructure, as the bank goes through a digital transformation.

- Be responsible for the overall stability of their Microsoft Products within the bank's Data Centres including Active Directory, Exchange and Symantec AV
- Work alongside Senior Engineers to deliver product strategy
- Ensure the delivery of Standardization, Automation, Monitoring and Capacity Planning
- Design solutions to improve operational stability

Requirements

- Proven experience in a relevant technical position within very large, enterprise IT infrastructure environments - more than 1000 servers
- Previous position in a large, banking organisation
- Excellent hands-on knowledge of Microsoft applications including Active Directory, Exchange, DHCP and DNS
- Extensive experience using Symantec Anti-Virus, PGP, and DLP technologies
- Strategic mind-set with strong emphasis on Research & Development
- Understanding of Project Management methodologies
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or similar
