Job Overview:
The Tax Manager will lead the tax advice function of Virtuzone, including ensuring that the accounting function supports client tax requirements. They will be expected to attain their tax agent certification with the FTA.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the process of client VAT and corporate tax obligations including calculations and filing
- Ensure the accounting/bookkeping function is aligned to support the tax obligations of our clients
- Be the main point of contact for technical tax questions
- Have up-to-date knowledge of the UAE tax regimes (VAT and Corporate Tax), ensuring they are aware of any developments or changes in the tax regulations
- Identify wherever developments in point 4 above may result in additional or different services required by clients
- Manage the relationship with outsourcing partners, to ensure adequate quality of work to deliver points 1-3 above
- Join RMs on sales and/or advice calls with clients as required, to help increase sales revenue
- Attain their Tax Agency certification with the FTA
Requirements
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a Tax function of an accounting firm
- Degree in Accounting and Finance. ACCA preferable
- End-to-end knowledge detailed knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax, with constant learning of new laws & amendments
- Technically up-to-date with IFRS and other reporting standards
- Highly proficient in English language
- Highly proficient in Arabic language
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good negotiation skills
- Excellent analytical and numerical abilities
- In-depth knowledge of multiple accounting software
- Previous experience in outsourced accounting
