Job description / Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Taxation and Finance Lead to oversee our financial operations and tax compliance within the Food & Beverage (F&B) sector in Dubai, UAE. The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy of our organization, ensuring compliance with local and international tax regulations, and providing strategic financial insights to drive business growth. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement tax strategies that align with the company’s business objectives, ensuring compliance with local and international tax laws.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of all tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in compliance with regulations.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess the impact on the organization's operations and finances.
- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support business decisions and growth initiatives.
- Manage financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with the company’s financial goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Lead audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance and address any tax-related issues.
- Conduct risk assessments related to tax compliance and financial reporting, implementing measures to mitigate risks.
- Train and mentor finance team members on tax compliance and financial best practices.
- Prepare and present financial reports and tax analysis to stakeholders, ensuring clarity and transparency.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree or relevant professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) is preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in taxation and finance, preferably within the F&B or food services industry.
- Strong knowledge of local and international tax laws and regulations, with a proven track record of managing tax compliance and financial reporting.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Proficient in financial software and tools, with advanced Excel skills and experience Oracle systems.
- Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to manage and develop a finance team.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in financial reporting and tax compliance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
