Job description / Role

Our school is seeking to appoint Teachers for English, Science, Maths, Homeroom and Art.

As a teacher you will:
• Educate students according to guidelines provided by the curriculum framework under the overall guidance of the competent education authority
• Plan, prepare and deliver lessons to all students in the class
• Assess, prepare and deliver lessons to all students in the class
• Promote the general progress and well being of individual students, groups f students or class entrusted to him/her
• Review and evaluate one’s own teaching and learning strategies, methodologies and program/s in line with the curriculum framework guidelines
• Advise and cooperate with the Head of Department, Head of Academics and Vice Principle and other teachers in the preparation and development of courses of study, teaching materials, teaching programs, methods of teaching and assessment and pastoral care arrangements
• Ensure high standards of professional practice and quality of teaching and learning of the subject/s
• Participate in in-house education and training courses as well as in continuing professional development opportunities
• Maintain good order and discipline among students under one’s care and safeguarding their health and safety all times
• Register and monitor the attendance of students under one’s care
• Nurture a culture where teachers view themselves essentially as facilitators of learning and reflective practitioners
• Make use of technology during the delivery of the lessons

Requirements

The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years experience teaching the specialty in a school environment; must hold a university degree in education or an educational university degree in the specialty matching the teaching subject. The incumbent must have worked in a native English speaking country.
