Job overview
Kent College Dubai is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate teacher of Mathematics to join our thriving school. The contract will initially be for 6 months, from January 2026 to June 2026.
Our school
Kent College Dubai (KCD) opened its doors in August 2016, and in a very short space of time has established itself as a hugely successful community-centred school that is inclusive and aspiring. We are rated Very Good by the KHDA and Outstanding by the BSO.
The school takes pupils from ages 3 months to 18 years and is in the Nad al Sheba district of Dubai. We are proud members of the Aldar Education group and the BSME.
The post
Kent College Dubai is seeking an exceptional teacher to teach Mathematics from Year 7 to Year 13. The ability or willingness to teach Further Maths would be welcomed. This role is particularly suitable for teachers at the early stages of their career, or looking for a first move.
The successful candidate will:
- Hold a relevant degree and teaching qualification, likely to be from a British or Irish university, depending on the subject
- Have completed at least their first year as an ECT, ideally in a British curriculum school
- Be committed to upholding the KCD Staff Charter, which can be found attached to this advert
- Be willing to immerse themselves into school life, contributing to our pastoral system and ECA provision
Remuneration
We aim to attract and retain staff of the highest quality, primarily because the school is a fulfilling and enjoyable environment in which to work. We provide professional development opportunities to match the needs and aspirations of each individual member of staff, and to make sure that our pupils are taught by motivated teachers who are fully up to date with their teaching methods and approaches.
The salary for this role is 10,000 AED p/m. There will be no associated benefits with the position, apart from those decreed by labour law.
How to apply
The closing date for this position is Monday November 24th at 8.00am Gulf Standard Time. Early applications are encouraged and we may interview on receipt of applications, such is the expected demand for this role. We would ideally like a candidate to start in January 2026 but, for the right person, would be able to wait until April 2026.
Candidates wishing to apply should complete the application form and upload it with a CV and covering letter addressed to the Head of Senior School. If possible, please include a recent photograph.
Shortlisted candidates who are based in the UAE will be invited into school for interview and further assessments. This will include teaching a lesson. Overseas candidates may be expected to provide a video of them teaching.
