Due to the wonderful interest in our school, we continue to grow and expand classes due to high parental demand. As such, we are seeking to employ an outstanding teaching assistant to join the team at RGSGD as soon as possible.

Responsibilities:

• Supervising and providing support under the direction of a teacher for pupils, including those with additional needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
• Preparing and using equipment/resources required to meet the lesson plans or relevant learning activity and assisting pupils in their use.
• Ensuring all pupils have appropriate access to opportunities to learn and develop.
• Encouraging pupils to interact with others and engage in activities.
• Providing feedback to pupils in relation to their progress and achievement under the guidance of the teacher.
• Creating and maintaining a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment in accordance with lesson plans.
• Assisting with the display of pupilsu2019 work.
• Using strategies, in liaison with the teacher, to support pupils in achieving learning goals.
• Assisting with the planning and preparation of learning activities.
• Monitoring pupilsu2019 responses to learning activities and accurately recording achievement and progress as directed.
• Providing detailed and regular feedback to teachers on pupil achievement, progress, problems, etc.
• Assisting with the supervision of pupils outside lesson times, including lunch and play times.
• Promoting good pupil behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with established policy, and encouraging pupils to take responsibility for their own behaviour.

Working hours:

Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM u2013 3:30 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM u2013 12:30 PM

A police check is a pre-requisite for all appointments and a vetting procedure is applied to all appointments including satisfactory criminal record checks from both country of residence or home country and any other country of residence.
