Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Purpose: To ensure that the flydubai fleet is maintained in accordance with the approved maintenance programme as specified by the legal and mandatory requirements of the current GCAA regulations.

Key Activities
- Ensuring that the maintenance planned for the flydubai fleet enables full aircraft availability to support the operational flying programme.
- Ensuring efficient and cost effective planning of maintenance around flydubai fleet network.
- Planning of line maintenance checks, acceptable deferred defects, cabin deferred defects, base maintenance and lease return checks.
- Reviewing of forthcoming maintenance across the fleet ensuring flydubai remains in regulatory compliance at all times.
- Compiling, auditing and issuing of maintenance work packages and supporting data ensuring the standards, accuracy and quality of planned maintenance on the operated fleet.
- Overseeing A/C & Component modification programmes.
- Aircraft maintenance check slot planning liaising with Commercial, Operations, Line stations and subcontracted maintenance providers to agree suitable downtime, resource and facilities.
- Interfacing with Commercial, Operations, third parties, line stations and MROs as required to achieve the maintenance plan.
- Ensuring receipt and update of aircraft maintenance records and the engineering computer system.
- Providing out of hours planning support when requested ensuring the safe, punctual, efficient and cost effective operation of the fleet
- Management reporting on scheduled maintenance activity.
- Maintain a handover log in AMOS.
- Answer Technical Assistance Queries in AMOS.

Requirements

Minimum Qualification
- Degree or equivalent experience
- Secondary School Education GCSE (Engineering degree preferred (EASA B2 or B1 as alternative))

Experience
- Minimum 5 years previous experience in similar role desirable
- Current aircraft maintenance records management systems and techniques.
- Line and base maintenance planning and airline operations

Knowledge / Skills
- Current aircraft maintenance planning systems and techniques.
- The use of IT systems including Microsoft Suite and airline/MRO Systems.
- Safety/Airworthiness Awareness and GCAA regulations
