Technical Project Manager

Job description / Role

The Technical Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing and finalizing solutions related to new and existing products, modules and services. The Technical Project Manager sets milestones for each project, coordinates efforts between operations and technology teams, in order to effectively and efficiently deliver projects according to plan. This position works with internal and external stakeholders to bring structure while implementing complex, project-based processes to bring increased efficiency in the delivery of all projects and services and in turn, enhanced client satisfaction. Technical Project Manager should have a working knowledge of Converged network systems in a system integrator environment

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope.
• Develop or update project plans for information technology projects including information such as project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, schedules, funding, and staffing.
• Create and manage the plan for moving technical solutions to final client hand-off.
• Assemble and coordinate the internal and external teams to gain consensus on deliverables from each team.
• Monitor or track project milestones and deliverables.
• Leads and directs high-priority projects, which often require considerable resources and high levels of functional integration and interaction with customer executives.
• Collaboratively adapt existing and develop new project plans, processes and communication standards for the operations teams.
• Conducts regular meetings with Vision Valley executives documenting current status of project including technical, schedule and financial issues that may be present.
• Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables. Provides overall leadership for Vision Valley or customer engagements.
• Responsible for all aspects of the project over the entire project life cycle life (initiate, plan, execute, control, close)
• Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises and devise contingency plans.
• Own the communication and execution of solution hand-over to client services, service delivery, technology and other team members at designated milestones.
• Develop and deliver progress reports, requirements documentation and presentations.
• Responsible for assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources as needed, and developing a schedule to ensure timely completion of the project.
• Manages financial aspects of the project against assigned budgets.
• Manages the scope, risks, issues, deliverables, and schedule of individual project tasks.
• Monitoring team dynamics and team accountability related to delivery commitments.
• Assigning project tasks and coordinate resources with technical team
• Establishing and enforcing the use of the project’s Change Control process.
• Establishing and enforcing the use of the project’s Quality Plan.
• Presenting details of the project Risk Management Strategy to the Steering Committee. Leads the planning, implementation and evaluation of a program.
• Identifies the scope of the program including the goals and the expected deliverables.
• Manages the budget as well as allocates the resources.
• Provides direction, motivation, support and inspiration to the program team.
• Identifies problems and implements solutions.
• Evaluates and assesses the program results.

Requirements

• Bachelor Science Electronics/computer science or equivalent, MBA is preferable.
• PMP or similar project management certification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in system integrator
• Excellent English command and interpersonal communications skills.
