Job description / Role
Charterhouse is working with a global manufacturer of lighting solutions who are looking to hire a technical sales professional to join their team in Dubai. This role will be responsible for generating and assessing new business leads, identifying potential projects and handling the entire project cycle from proposal stage to installation. This role reports to the General Manager and will have close interaction with various internal departments and 3rd party suppliers.
The purpose of this role will be to proactively seek new business opportunities through conducting regular field visits to clients which will mainly include business owners, contractors and site managers. Our client is looking for someone with a strong technical knowledge of lighting solutions or a recent graduate with a qualification in electrical/mechanical engineering who would be keen to develop in to a commercial sales focussed role. In this role you will be required to consult and recommend suitable lighting solutions to clients in a confident and engaging manner to convert business leads.
Due to the amount of travel required across the UAE all candidates must have a valid UAE driver’s license and their own car. There will be extensive product training provided by the organisation, in return they are seeking a self-motivated, driven individual who can work to tight deadlines, effectively priority set tasks and demonstrates excellent communication skills. This role will report to the General Manager and will work closely alongside them to evaluate potential leads, create tailored proposals which suit client’s requirements and follow up on quotations to convert into confirmed business.
You will coordinate with all departments including service, finance and logistics to ensure a smooth delivery of project installation, foreseeing any potential barriers and proactively resolving them.
To be considered for this role you must hold a bachelor’s Degree in electrical/mechanical engineering or a relevant field and ideally have a minimum of two years commercial experience within the UAE. Due to the field work involved in this role all successful candidates must possess a valid UAE driver’s license and be willing to travelling up to 80% of the time within the UAE.
