Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

We at Al Tayer Group are looking for an IT Technical Services Manager as a part of the IT Infrastructure team to manage the delivery of IT Technical Services, ensure ongoing support and technical assistance to IT customers in the company, resolve problems and/or determine appropriate action(s) for resolutions.

Strategic Responsibilities
* Responsible for planning, implementing, maintaining and managing -end user computing landscape including PCs, mobility devices, hand held devices and POS.
* Develop operating standards for supported technologies and ensure compliance
* Embark on periodic evaluation of end user computing technologies, prepare and submit periodic reports to the IT Management with recommendations and suggestions to improvise the existing IT Technical Support Services, ensuring best practices and technology innovations

Functional Responsibilities
* Develop, plan and implement IT Technical Support Services in line with business requirements
* Manage vendor relationships and supply chain for technologies supported
* Oversee device management, life cycle management, end-user support and patch management
* Implement appropriate methods, processes and techniques for support services, to ensure optimal utilization of resources and effective prioritization of incidents
* Ensure compliance and adherence to release and change management process to enable smooth implementation at end user level
* Provide capacity and availability related inputs to planning teams within the IT department
* Conduct periodic quality checks and encourage feedback from business operations to ascertain successful functioning of business systems
* Keep abreast of user issues and propose incident resolution mechanisms through external and internal interventions
* Resource planning to meet geographical spread of locations, incident trends and business growth

People Development
* Guide, train, appraise, develop, support and motivate subordinates to display high levels of individual & their teams performance to achieve objectives of the Department

Requirements

* Graduate or post graduate in Computer Science or equivalent from a recognized university, complemented with network certification
* Preferred certification in ITIL
* 8 to 10 years of experience in IT industry in a multi user commercial environment, with 3-4 years in a managerial capacity

Functional Skills
* Excellent trouble-shooting skills with a broad range of technical knowledge
* Excellent customer communication and interpersonal skill
* Ability to manage and lead a team of IT personnel / experts
* Leading a team in their latest role
