Title: Technician 1 - Construction (UAE National)

Overview

Undertakes the discipline specific duties during the construction of permanent plant and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Undertake repairs, maintenance, installation, service and new works as a member of a team.
• Perform works on a day-to-day basis in accordance with scheduled work programmes prepared by or in conjunction with the supervisor.
• Give instruction, guidance, assistance and where required support to tradespersons, labourers and apprentices in the performance of their duties.
• Contribute to maximizing workload and work programme turnaround and work teams productivity through effective planning and organization of manpower, materials, plant and other identified resources required, e.g., specialized equipment.
• Contribute to minimizing unnecessary non-productive time through effective liaison with clients, customers, suppliers and others to complete works in accordance with anticipated timings to meet client/customer expectations.
• Contribute to ensuring that all works are carried out to meet client/customer standards, good practice, and where appropriate standards governed by regulation or other directive.
• Carry out other related tasks as advised by the supervisor.
