Technician (Watch)

Job description / Role

JOB OBJECTIVE: Service and repair of watches.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Services and repairs watches in a consistent manner and according to principals guidelines.
- Carries out all types of repairs (CS, PS, SG) as per instructions and volume needs.
- Follows all relevant processes, standard operating procedures and instructions.
- Ensures highest possible quality of work, respect of lead times and customer satisfaction.
- Attends trainings as instructed.
- Shares technical knowledge with his colleagues.
- Keeps his workbench clean and tidy at all times.
- Always wears a clean coat.
- Displays team spirit and cooperates with peers to ensure a collegial environment.

COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

Internal:
- All SWS sections and team

External:
- Principals’ technical managers if required

Requirements

- Literate, numerate, Watchmaking diploma (or training certificates from principals)
- 5 years experience in repairing all types of watches.
- Knowledge of major brands
- Good technical skills

Job-Specific Skills:
- Product knowledge, job cleanliness, productivity, attention to detail, willingness to learn and improve his technical skills

Language Skills:
- Fluent in English

Functional Competencies– Technical Level 3 (Watches):
- Complete overhaul including dismantling and assembling, lubricating, adjustment and timing of following calibers:
- Quartz: analog, digital, chronograph
- Mechanical: manual, automatic and chronograph
- Partial repairs and detection of defects on the above calibers (Guarantees)
- De-casing and casing-up including fitting of dial and hands, waterproof testing
