Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Purpose: To contribute towards smooth and error-free teller transactions within branch, whilst ensuring adherence to Banks policies, ethics and code of conduct.

Accountabilities:
- Carry out all tasks, ensuring all activities are completed within timescales and with a high degree of accuracy, whilst providing excellent customer service, to both external and internal customers, and adhering to all appropriate process and procedures.
- Process cash and cheque transactions, deposits and withdrawals.
- Balance cash and have zero cash shortages and overages.
- Act as a joint custodian of till cash with Branch Operations Manager / Head Teller.
- Ensure all teller transactions and other routine processing is done as per laid down operating procedures and central bank guidelines and ensure due diligence is carried out with respect to money laundering and other regulatory requirements.
- Identify and recommend improvements to procedures and processes to improve process and service levels.
- Provide information and guidance to branch customers through the delivery of excellent customer service to resolve customer queries and achieve customer satisfaction.
- Identify and act on ways to improve own knowledge and skills, and as a consequence improve the knowledge and skill level of the branch.
- Provide support to other team members as required to assist in the smooth operation of the branch.
- Maintain awareness of the branch’s Business Continuity Plan and undertake appropriate training to ensure correct action is taken in the event of an incident or disruption.
- Perform any other duties or tasks as required or instructed by the line manager to support the smooth operation of the branch.
