Tender Manager

Job description / Role

Objectives: We are looking for a Tender Manager to take our tendering organization in Dubai to the next level. To be successful in this position you will be a commercially minded individual, with a strong quality and improvement focus and a burning drive to win new business.

Reporting to: Head of tender ME
Subordinates: NA
Other interactions: Engineering, procurement, suppliers, clients
Number required: 1
Duration: permanent

Main responsibilities:
- Hands on management of all aspects of the tendering process
- Act as the Tender Manager for a designated tender and manage the tender team allocated to the tender
- Develop a winning strategy for the Tender
- Handle communication towards client
- Handle internal communication and presentations towards Management
- Understanding and willingness to adapt pricing models, delivery aspects in a competitive market. Willingness to take an acceptable level of risk' within reason.
- Coordinate and give input Risk Management process
- Coordinate and give input to contractual set up
- Participate in client clarification meetings
- After completed tender make sure that lessons learned are captured and that the tender and tender process is sufficiently evaluated

Desired start date: asap
Probation: 3 months
Working Hours: sun thurs 9am 6pm
Travel requirements: occasional travel within gcc for client clarification meetings

Requirements

- BS/MS degree with technical and or sales and marketing focus
- Experience from sales & tendering processes in the oil & gas industry
- 5+ years relevant experience from industry - oil company, consulting or supplier background
- 7 - 10 years in oil gas industry tendering position

- Excellent level of attention to detail
- Ability to write compelling, attractive tender documentation that is easy to understand and that positions the business well to the client
- High level of personal drive to drive and submit winning tenders
- Excellent communication skills and cross-cultural understanding
- Experience and knowledge
- English Fluency
