Accountable To:

- Terminal Equipment Manager / Sr. Manager – Asset Management

Responsible for:

- Ensure that all ADPORTS equipment are properly maintained and reliable so they can achieve high rate of availability for operators. In addition, ensuring ADPORTS assets are properly used and safeguarded from mishandling so they retain a high commercial value for a long period.

Working Relationship:

- Coordinate with all ports unit staff & other ADPC units. As required, also co-ordinate with outside regulatory agencies, contractors, government department & other stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities:

- Demonstrate compliance to the requirements of applicable legal requirements.
- Assist in developing Logs of all equipment under ADPORTS ownership.
- Assist to ensure that AD Ports employees carry out preventive and corrective maintenance for all equipment.
- Assist to maintain all ports equipment assuring accurate / safe implementation of the preventative maintenance & maintenance plans and establishing unit procedures and administration requirements.
- Assist in direction and management of contractor; prepares consultant scope of work; develops, negotiates or assists in negotiation consultant agreements and fees.
- Assist in feasibility study for proposed development of port facilities- Greenfield and brownfield.
- Assist in feasibility study - Study possibility of converting or upgrading existing terminal under AD Ports and land side-planning. Preliminary cost estimate and financial feasibility study- cost-benefit analysis.
- Be a part of multiple cross functional teams to support in technical evaluation of the potential investment opportunities, technical tenders, consultant drawings and other design documents
- Assist in tenders and contract management for new equipment purchases and studies as & when required.
- Assist to maintain all ports equipment assuring accurate / safe implementation of the preventative maintenance & maintenance plans and establishing unit procedures and administration requirements.
- Assist in compiling, reviewing and finalizing the requirements for Service Contracts, Service Agreements and Contracts for preparing tender documents including contract requisition (C.R.). Attending pre-tender meetings and reviewing all the supplementary letters as per Company's procedures for marine projects within the organisation.
- Assist in providing efficient and effective management of projects during the scope definition, conceptual planning and design for all equipment related projects for Ports Corporation, including the development of business cases, cost effective sustainable solutions and associated approvals, in consultation with relevant departments, such as Commercial, Operations and business development within the Ports and also external agencies.
- Assist to implement a reliability program that will improve functionality of the equipment and reduce downtime and cost associated with unplanned maintenance.
- Ensuring the planning and monitoring of equipment management works and Port Equipment maintenance.
- Assist to hire contractors to maintain the equipment beyond AD Ports employee’s capability.
- Assist in ensuring that all equipment operated by other parties are properly used and maintained.
- Supervise handover of equipment from suppliers, contractors or previous operators and ensure all related documents are delivered.
- Assist in supervision of factory acceptance tests before handing over of equipment from suppliers.
- Ensure all safety checks are carried for equipment before use.
- Assist in proposing replacement or purchasing of equipment due to aging factor or new demands by users.
- Reporting daily, weekly and monthly to the Terminal Equipment Manager covering all equipment owned or operated by AD Ports direct or indirect by consultants or contractors.
- Assist in preparing yearly budget requirement for Equipment Maintenance considering required spares.
- Produce weekly, monthly and yearly reports of equipment conditions and carried repairs.
- Ensure all asset management correspondence (Memo, Letters, Work orders, Task Orders, Project detail information) are compiled and saved on ‘O’ drive.
- Carry any other related tasks assigned by the Terminal Equipment Manager or senior management.

Strategic Responsibilities:

- Ensure that the HSE Regulations & Compliance roles are adhered.
- Assist the department manager to control the department risks and translate it to appropriate corrective action and plan to reduce the impact on the organization.
- Assist the department manager on annul planning, budgeting, setting the objectives and KPI’s.
- Assist the department manager on creating, review and implementation of the policies and procedure.
- Assist in managing the capital allocation phase of the annual budget process, including providing portfolio analysis to support capital-planning decisions.
- Track monthly progress of Corrective Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance work orders, review variances with equipment maintenance teams.
- Work with operational teams to continue development of corporate best practices for economic evaluations.
- Understand the current and future priorities of targeted customer segment.
- Assist in identifying and evaluation of alternative strategies.
- Assist in developing long term action plan to meet the requirements of each unit / division and continuously monitor and update the plan.

Requirements

Qualifications/Experience/Competencies:

- Degree or Post Graduate Qualification in Engineering or associated field
- Written and Spoken English is essential
- Minimum of 5 years working experience
- Preferably in similar industry
