Description
Purpose:
- Leads and directs rehabilitation service provision within allocated facility in conjunction with the Rehabilitation Team Leaders of other Amana Healthcare facilities to ensure standardisation.
- Responsible for providing and ensuring safe, effective, evidence based and interdisciplinary therapy (Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Dietetics and Behavioural Therapy) adult and paediatric services within their professional scopes, in a long term care setting or residential/ nursing home facilities.
- Is responsible for the overall Therapy management, service delivery and evaluation of the therapy department, which includes leadership/participation in strategic planning, business development; programme evaluation, mentoring and general operations.

Requirements
Requirements
Qualifications/Certifications:
- Discipline specific Bachelor of Science degree as Therapist. Current National License or membership in a recognized international registration board.
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- MSc or relevant post graduate degree/diploma.
- Evidence of completion of discipline specific specialist courses.
License
- Eligible for Department of Health License or transferable UAE license as Therapist.
Experience
- Not less than 8 years in a large hospital with relevant experience with patients with similar diagnoses seen in long term care hospital or residential care facilities.
- Wide background is preferred (i.e. Behavioural/Mental health, Intellectual Disability). Evidence of progression in advancing leadership/senior roles and responsibilities.
- At least 2 years in Therapy Lead/ Manager position or not less than 3 years in a Senior Therapist position.
Skills
- Excellent in communication skills and competent with computers especially MS Office.
- Teaching and mentoring. Audits and service improvements.
- Effective problem solver with strong analytical skills.
