Trade Finance Manager

Job description / Role

The new role of Trade Finance Manager will join a soft commodities trading organisation in Dubai. This company is part of a wider organisation that is exceptionally well established and has a headquarters in Egypt. Obtaining goods from the Black Sea, Canadian and Australasia regions, the Trade Finance Manager will report into the CFO and Commercial & Risk Director on a day to day basis.

You will therefore be supporting the business with both the complete daily finance cycle and trade finance capabilities. This will include handling all aspects of banking documentation, procedures and guarantees, letters of credit, import/export finances and compliance and negotiation and collection of payment schedules. Additional duties will include research and negotiation with regards to the sourcing of the raw materials and working closely with the Commercial & Risk Director to manage contracts and agreements, annual forecasting, budget variants and risk mitigation. On an ongoing basis it is also expected that the successful individual will regularly review ongoing costs to see where savings and efficiencies can be made.

Requirements

This is a busy role with growth opportunities and requires those with specific trade finance experience. Therefore, you should hold a minimum of 2 years exposure in this area. Holding a finance degree, additional finance qualifications (such as ACCA, CA, CPA) are highly advantageous. Excellent communication skill in order to collaborate across all levels of seniority, a professional and diligent approach and a maximum notice period of 1 month are all essential duties for the Trade Finance Manager to be successful.
