About the Role

Metier Group has been exclusively retained by a global family office in Dubai to appoint a Trader / Assistant Portfolio Manager to join its multi-asset investment team. The firm manages a diverse portfolio across equities, fixed income, and digital assets, blending both discretionary and systematic strategies. The successful candidate will take a hands-on role executing and developing trading strategies alongside senior portfolio managers within a lean, entrepreneurial structure offering autonomy and capital exposure.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute multi-asset trading strategies (spanning equities, fixed income and digital assets).
• Identify opportunities through bottom-up fundamental and top-down macro/momentum analysis.
• Conduct quantitative research and back-testing to enhance strategy performance.
• Manage risk, position sizing and trade execution with discipline and transparency.
• Collaborate with senior portfolio managers on portfolio construction and performance attribution.
• Produce regular risk and performance reports for internal investment reviews.

Candidate Profile

• 3u20135 yearsu2019 experience in trading, investment research or portfolio management.
• Track record within a hedge fund, proprietary trading firm or family office.
• Strong understanding of market structure, macro drivers and quantitative methods.
• Proficiency in Python, R, Excel, Bloomberg or similar tools for analysis and back-testing.
• Highly numerate and comfortable with data-driven decision making.
• Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or Applied Mathematics.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to operate in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
