Job Purpose

- The purpose of the role is to carry out assigned tasks for the Operations and Maintenance of facilities and systems.
- The jobholder will work as per the defined routines / procedures set within the Department / Section to ensure trouble-free and smooth operations.
- The jobholder may work with and assist Technicians / Supervisors in his section to complete tasks and may at times have to work on an independent basis.
- The tradesman should be fully multi-skilled to a high level and should be capable of working in more than two systems in the respective area of operation
- The job holder should be also able to Identify and select appropriate O&M practices and ways of working to meet objectives.
- Provide an immediate response to breakdowns based on criticality and priority.
- Coordinate with supporting teams and perform the assigned work order task on priority basis. Report to his / her Line Manager for assigned work on the shift and update work progress in CMMS, along with time taken to complete the job.

Requirements

Qualifications and Education

- The job holder should be educated to a high school level and will have a two year certificate from college or technical school in a relevant technical subject.
- Two to four years related experience and / or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of professional education only.

Experience

- Minimum of two years of experience in maintenance work related to the appropriate technical disciplines is required.

Knowledge

- Knowledge of performing basic calculations in the respective field of operation.
- Thorough knowledge of troubleshooting and repairing of specialist and auxiliary equipment in their area of specialization.
- Technical knowledge of specialized and auxiliary equipment.
- Practical problem-solving and good knowledge of radio communication techniques & procedures
- Ability to read and understand variety of drawings, schematics, technical/safety manuals & procedures.
- Fluent written and verbal communication in English (knowledge of Arabic preferred)
- Computer skills and knowledge in Maintenance Management System.
- Working knowledge of Safety Standards and SOPs

Operating Environment

- The jobholder works Indoor & outdoor with obvious exposure to risks of laser & radioactive radiations, extreme climatic conditions & temperatures, high noise levels, aircraft jet blast, rotating & vibrating equipment environment, etc.
- Work on ladders & high rise platforms as well as confined spaces, airside and land side facilities, deep manholes, underground facilities, and dangerous equipment & technology.
- At times the jobholder may be required to work under pressure to meet deadline and he / she will work on a shift roster basis.
