Training and Competency Assurance Supervisor

Our client, a leading organisation in the UAE, is currently seeking a Training and Competency Assurance Supervisor for their growing team in Dubai.

The key responsibilities for this role are to develop, deliver, and evaluate a range of training programs and competency assurance initiatives in the areas of operations, maintenance, and HSE.

This role is based offshore on 28/28 rotation; ‘hands-on’ with significant amounts of time spent in the workplace coaching and mentoring individuals in the areas of HSE and Competency Assurance.

Requirements

This position is open to Western male candidates only under 55 years old. You must have more than five years’ Operations and / or Maintenance experience in an upstream offshore production environment. You should also be experienced in: the preparation, delivery, and evaluation of HSE, Competency Assurance, and Technical training programs; on-the-job coaching and mentoring; running of Competency Assurance programs; the workplace application of HSE policies and procedures; and Competency Assurance standards and procedures.

Certifications required include NVQ / SVQ / City & Guilds (or equivalent) level 4 certification in a technical or HSE related discipline relevant to upstream oil and gas production; NVQ / SVQ (or equivalent) Assessor / Internal Verifier qualifications; and BOSIET / T-BOSIET certification.

Successful candidate should be an effective communicator in a multi-cultural environment, excellent planner and organizer, able to manage a range of responsibilities across multiple locations, strongly driven and motivated to champion program integrity and standards, well-versed with MS Office, with excellent written and spoken English medically fit to work offshore, in hot and humid climate.
