Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

In the position of Training Manager you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient operation in the Training & Development Department to create, develop and deliver training and development programs that entertain, engage and develop our Colleagues to model our vision, values and competencies. You will also assist Colleagues with providing subject matter expertise to support their growth in line with agreed development plans and operational requirements.

Job Scope
• Designs and delivers Colleague training aligned to agreed Leisure Facility and Shared Services operational requirements and agreed business unit development plans that are aligned to the company aims and strategy.
• Represents T&D at Leisure Facility and Shared Services management meetings and forums to provide subject matter expertise in providing options for learning solutions.
• Reviews and updates at regular intervals T&D processes, policies, forms and reference documents as approved by line manager and ensures continuous compliance to the same.
• Supports and provides input to performance management and talent development processes and ensures implementation across the company with required documentation in place and reviewed as required.
• Oversees the preparation of reports and evaluation of learning, within agreed time and cost measures, to enable reviewers to assess the effectiveness of learning interventions provided, with observations and recommendations being made to inform, when applicable.
• Advise managers on T&D policy matters and recommends needed changes to policies.
• Provide insights following training and development interventions to management to support or propose changes to direction based on feedback received from participants.
• Ensure accurate and adequate T&D data is available and used to guide decision making in line with company strategy.

Requirements

• Possess a CIPD, ATD or equivalent in HRM or Training and Development
• Have a minimum 5 years’ experience in HR and/or T&D Department
• Be proficient in written and spoken English and have the ability to communicate at all levels
• Have strong experience on design and delivery of learning interventions, Training needs analysis, Consulting skills and Presentation skills
• Have proficiency using MS office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

Desirable:
• BPS Level A and B Psychometric testing and interpretation and Coaching certification
• Experience in hospitality, tourism and theme parks

Kindly note that this is a fixed-term position, start date on January 2017 for 18 months period.
