A general management consulting firm, widely regarded as a global leader in business strategy consulting. This is a privately owned firm with more than 80 offices around the world. With offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi and KSA.
We are looking for candidates with experience in English - Arabic translation, in particular regarding business-related presentations, proposals and texts with topics such as market studies, business strategy, company organization, human resources, etc. The candidate must also have the ability to make English - Arabic translations directly in MS PowerPoint documents. Typically documents will be 80% business and 20% legal and experience of producing accurate and clear documents is essential. Ideally, this experience has been gained in a business/professional services firm.

Candidates must be pragmatic, high- energy professionals who have the personal and professional self-confidence to handle the stress involved in performing a role such as this. They must possess the highest levels of integrity. They must have the raw intelligence, political savvy and interpersonal skills to build relationships throughout a loosely structured organization as well as the ability to support our firm's efforts to become the foremost consulting services firm.
Areas of responsibility include translation and editing business and legal and documents clearly and accurately with the highest quality. Production of translations directly in MS PowerPoint and formatting changes as necessary. These can be in-depth so an excellent working knowledge of PowerPoint is vital. Written translations of a variety of documents from English to Arabic and Arabic to English within tight deadlines; attending client meetings with the case team when necessary to discuss translation projects and answer questions; attending client meetings to provide interpretation services when required; learning and developing new skills i.e CAT Tools (computer-aided translation) and communicating with external translation companies regarding outsourced work.
Two years of translation experience (Arabic / English) within a professional services firm/fast turnaround/deadline and client driven environment would be advantageous coupled with a Bachelors Degree in Linguistics and/or Legal translation Certificate, distinct communication and team working skills, pragmatism, open-mindedness, and flexibility (there will be occasional out of hours requirements) and enjoyment of office life and culture.
