Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Job purpose:
Being responsible for the controlling of transport operations taking place between Warehouses and Stores, activity being coordinated between Head Office, Stores, Transport and Logistic Service Providers

Main responsibilities:
- Receive and sends to Stores and LSP the details concerning the drivers and trucks, with the purpose to identify them
- Follow up the transfers and returns in order to assure the right allocation per store and type of transport
- To check the invoices of transport providers to assure the accuracy of payments and data.
- Follow up of the truck’s route during the day – since the arrival at the warehouse until the last trip, including the placement of the orders
- Coordinate the activity between the logistic and transport providers in order to accomplish the delivery process
- Physically control in the DC that no outbound pallets are remaining on dock according to delivery schedule and ensure that communication was done if it happens.
- Physically control randomly that cold chain is well respected in trucks (the setup of temperature is correct depending on the type of transport).
- Physically control the hygiene, cleaning and arrangement of the trucks
- Report issues to TSP and management & ensure corrective actions done by TSP.
- To inform the hierarchy for any issues that might affect the quality of services to stores, the respect of delivery lead time to stores.
- Control the quality of outbound pallets (free of damages, products well stacked) and that pallet are build the highest as possible (max cbm per pallet) to reduce transport costs.
- Perform briefing with TSP to review all issues & actions and give feedback to Management.
- Control that TSP checking and answers related to store claims are accurate.
- Send the required reports to Head Office.
- Follow that operations tasks related to official inventory are well executed + report the issues to TSP + control corrective actions by TSP are done.

Requirements

- Experience in food retail logistics (transport).
- Know how about the work of Receiving Department in store.
- Knowledge of warehouse management system (WMS).
- Good command of the English language, both spoken and written.
- Good knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
