Responsibilities
Our newest opportunity is for a talented Transport Planning Lead to join our award-winning team based in Dubai, UAE.
This critical role will work as part of the Infrastructure team, supporting the design phase of various Transport Planning projects in Dubai and supporting other GCC offices where needed.
We envisage success in this role to include:
- Leading and managing multi-disciplinary teams on a variety of transport planning projects, including traffic and transportation modeling and analysis, strategic transport planning studies, transport demand forecasting, public transport planning and design, traffic management and control plans, road safety audits and assessments, environmental impact assessments related to transport, etc.
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Providing expert technical advice and guidance to internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, developers, and the public.
- Staying abreast of the latest developments in transport planning methodologies, technologies, and best practices.
- Contributing to the development of innovative and sustainable transport solutions.
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities with existing and potential clients.
- Preparing proposals, presentations, and tenders for new projects.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key clients and industry contacts.
- Leading, mentoring, and developing junior transport planners and engineers.
- Conducting research and developing innovative solutions to address complex transport planning challenges.
- Exploring and evaluating emerging technologies and their potential applications in the transport sector.
- Contributing to the development of new methodologies and tools for transport planning.
- Contributing to the development of national-level transport policies and strategies.
- Advising on the development of road infrastructure to enhance national connectivity and efficiency.
- Engaging with relevant stakeholders to promote sustainable and integrated transport solutions.
Qualifications
To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 15 years of work experience partnered with a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering. A Master's degree in Traffic or Transportation Engineering will be viewed favourably.
5 years of experience gained in Dubai on major traffic/transportation programs is required and 10 years overall GCC experience is mandatory.
Preferred Attributes
- Candidates that are pre-approved with RTA & ITC.
- Demonstrable experience of working on integration into Smart City planning from a transport perspective.
- Strong understanding of GCC's transport sector and relevant regulations.
