Transport Supervisor - IKEA - Al Futtaim Logistics

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Transport Supervisor to join our Transport department in Al Futtaim Logistics, overseeing the IKEA account. The role will be based from our busy Jebel Ali site and will report into the Business Unit Manager. The main purpose of this role is to proactively manage and assume accountability for the key operational elements of the Transport department, including all distribution activities.

It is the responsibility of the Transport Supervisor - IKEA to exceed Customer Service level expectations whilst maximising efficiencies at a minimum cost whilst managing and measuring operations by providing a highly disciplined, enabling and team-building environment. The Transport Supervisor will ensure cargo is delivered in the most efficient manner, whilst focussing on continual improvement in utilisation, cost reduction and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

To be considered for this role you will ideally be a graduate and will have a minimum of 2 years experience in a Transport Supervisory role. It is essential that you have a strong commercial awareness of the Logistics industry. This role involves an element of local travel and therefore a driving licence is essential.

As prior operational experience is a requirement for this position, it is expected that you will have strong management and communications skills within a distribution environment.
