Treasury Intern (6 months internship) - Please ensure to be sponsored by your father/spouse or student visa.

ROLE SUMMARY

The Treasury Intern provides assistance for the Treasury department and supports them on day to day activities requested. The Treasury Intern carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas under the supervision of the Treasury Analyst and Group Treasury Manager: Processing Trade Finance applications, supporting Know Your Customer checks carried out by banks, and general administration. The Intern will report directly to the Group Treasury Manager.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Trade Finance (45%)
• Processing trade finance applications and follow-up on timely issuance under the supervision of Treasury Analyst
• Maintaining an up-to-date register of trade finance instruments in the Treasury Management System
• Maintaining up-to-date filings of all issued guarantees

Know Your Customer Checks (KYC) (30%)
• Support the Treasury team to collate the required information to respond to standard KYC Maintain up-to-date KYC packs for all entities of the group
• Maintain a track-sheet of KYC queries of banks

General Admin (25%)
• Creating and maintaining proper filing for the Treasury department
• Maintain an up-to-date record of all bank contacts
• Organizing and coordinating bank meetings
• Coordinating signatures from Authorised signatories
• Coordinating timely responses from banks on audit confirmations for bank balances and loans
• Support the treasury team in drafting letters to banks for routine requests in relation to bank account management

PERFORMANCE MEASURES/SUCCESS CRITERIA

• Proper coordination of all filling and documentations
• Handling and responding to requests from banks/lenders

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma or BA in Accounting/Finance or another related field.
• 1-3 years of work experience in a Treasury/Accounting/Finance role is an advantage

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Fluent in English. Second language is an advantage.
• Ability to plan and organize.
• Good communication skills.
• Excellent Excel skills.
