The Company

Our client a globally listed Oil and Gas company based in Abu Dhabi is looking to recruit a Treasury Manager with a focus on Risk, Reporting and Projects.

The Role

* To plan, lead and manage all treasury related financial risks, data analytics, reporting, forecasting and project management activities. Establish a comprehensive Treasury Middle Office framework to ensure adherence to defined risk levels and reporting metrices. Lead Treasury Management System (TMS) projects and solutions
* Ensure effective cascading of the functional strategy into department business plans to ensure vertical alignment and horizontal integration with other interfacing departmental strategies.
* Provide subject matter expertise, advice, and share knowledge with the team members to support their overall development.
* Promote the organization's values and ethics in all activities within the team to support the establishment of a value drive culture within the organization.
* Manage the preparation and recommend the department budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget while ensuring all Controlling activities are conducted in line with the approved guidelines.
* Lead the effective collaboration with all business partners (Human Capital, Finance, Supply Chain, IT and Legal) to co-deliver defined key performance indicators (KPIs) in line with the overall business plan.
* Manage and ensure effective implementation of Financial Risk Management & Project department policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of assigned department activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements, fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service.
* Lead the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.
* Ensure that all unit reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet the requirements, policies, and quality standards.
* Manage the development and implementation of Treasury functions with focus on financial risk management strategy, treasury system reporting, analyses and projects.
* Identify risks to the business, developing FRM standards and key risk tolerances, creating mitigation strategies and measurement tools to ensure communication of financial risk management reporting on a timely basis.
* Develop a well-constructed hedging program and manage the hedging of funds to ensure uncertainties inherent in revenue and cost projections, as well as the complexity of the foreign exchange (FX) market and related derivatives, do not impact the efficacy of hedging activities.
* Supervise and monitor the risk in foreign exchange, derivatives and money market exposures that would affect the business and provide recommendation to mitigate financial risk.
* Evaluate the Group's financial risk profile relative to the company's overall risk appetite and make recommendations to accept, reject or mitigate risk or amend the risk appetite to control the risk and/or improve the risk-return performance of the Group.
* Assess the quality of the corporate portfolio to identify any potential danger and suggest risk mitigation measures to facilitate protection of the business interests and optimum achievement of revenues, in addition to the continual review of Target Market/Risk Assessment Criteria (TM/RAC).
* Partner with business leaders to identify, assess, prioritize, and minimize key financial risks through the implementation of contemporary financial risk management practices.
* Direct the assessment of new assets and services, provide recommendations, and sign-off endorsement from a financial risk perspective.
* Lead the effective review, analysis, and consolidation of information from subsidiaries and other departments to create relevant financial risk reports in accord with defined standards and policies.
* Direct the quality assurance process for all reporting function to ensure alignment with up to date IFRS, and other international standers.
* Ensure the coordination with the finance team and other functions to check accuracy of financial statements and financial disclosures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Highlight key findings and potential risks from the financial statement if any to suggest recommendations to enhance the company's financial position.
* Ensure risk management policies, standards and practices are adhered to by the Business lines.
* Coordinate with all business line and various departments and conduct trainings to enhance awareness of financial risk management program throughout the business and facilitate the establishment of a risk management culture across the group

Requirements

The Candidate

* Bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or any related field.
* 7 years of relevant experience in financial risk management environment.

Salary and Benefits

* 60,000aed per month plus benefits
