UAE National (Emirati) Mechanical Technician

Job description / Role

On behalf of our client a leading oil and gas operator that is based at Jebel Ali we are looking to recruit a UAE National ( Emirati) Mechanical Technician. Reporting to the Mechanical Workshop Team lead you will be responsible for executing the day to day maintenance of the onshore and offshore mechanical systems, ensuring that the integrity, reliability, availability and maintainability of relevant mechanical equipment is preserved so that production targets are achieved

Salary:
AED 15,000 to 30,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

The successful candidate must hold a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, 2-3 years experience in a mechanical repair shop. (suitable experience may come from the heavy auto trade (truck repair), shipyard, marine industry or from pump and compressor repair contractors) with the following competencies:

- To be able to read technical drawings and analyse the functions.
- To have a mature knowledge of the correct and right tools for the job.
- To work under minimal supervision of tasks allocated at an appropriate level.
- Confidence to speak up when assistance is needed, and to have the intelligence to seek support when an unfamiliar situation arises.
- Organisational skills.
- Excellent verbal and oral English language skills.
