Urban Design Manager

Job description / Role

Randstad is working with an international architecture and engineering consultancy in the search for a Urban Design Manager to join the team in Dubai.

Key Responsibilities:

-Lead and oversee master planning projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with project objectives and client expectations.
-Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions in urban design, infrastructure, and environmental planning.
-Prepare and present master planning reports, ensuring clear communication of project details and strategies.
-Manage and coordinate with authorities for project approvals, particularly with Dubai Municipality and the Department of Municipalities and Transportation in Abu Dhabi.
-Ensure successful approval of multiple master plans across various stages, from pre-concept to detailed design.
-Deliver high-quality master planning solutions, integrating infrastructure engineering, transportation, and environmental planning disciplines.
-Lead and mentor a team of urban planning professionals, fostering collaboration and ensuring project success.
-Manage client relationships, ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the project life cycle.

Qualifications & Experience:

- A minimum of 15 years of experience in urban planning, master planning, and urban design, with a demonstrated history of successful project delivery in the UAE.
- Experience delivering projects in Dubai and/or Abu Dhabi, with a strong understanding of local authorities and approval processes.
- Proven track record in obtaining approvals from Dubai Municipality and/or the Department of Municipalities and Transportation in Abu Dhabi.
-Expertise in preparing master planning reports and documentation for various stages of the planning process.
-Extensive knowledge in the disciplines of master planning, including infrastructure engineering, transportation, and environmental planning.
-Strong leadership skills, with experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
-Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, InDesign, and Photoshop.
-Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including clients and authorities.

Salary:
AED 35,000 to 45,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
