Description
Master Planning & Urban Design
* Develop and implement comprehensive master plans for large-scale residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use developments.
* Establish zoning and land-use policies, ensuring balanced development and proper integration of various urban elements.
* Incorporate transportation systems, public spaces, utilities, and environmental sustainability into urban design strategies.
* Design smart city solutions, emphasizing energy efficiency, digital infrastructure, and intelligent urban mobility.
Regulatory Compliance & Policy Development
* Ensure that all urban planning and development activities comply with GCC regulations, municipal codes, and international standards.
* Work closely with government agencies and municipal authorities to obtain approvals and permits for infrastructure projects.
* Contribute to the development of urban policies, building codes, and land-use regulations to enhance urban growth and resilience.
Infrastructure & Sustainable Development
* Integrate transportation networks, utilities, drainage, and public amenities within the overall master plan.
* Promote green infrastructure, renewable energy solutions, and environmentally sustainable development.
* Conduct impact assessments, feasibility studies, and urban analytics to ensure efficient resource allocation and infrastructure development.
Stakeholder Engagement & Public Consultation
* Collaborate with municipal planners, private developers, investors, and local communities to align urban plans with economic and social needs.
* Lead public engagement initiatives to ensure community participation in the planning process.
* Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless execution of urban development projects.
Project Management & Technical Analysis
* Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure the successful execution of master planning projects.
* Conduct geospatial analysis using GIS, AutoCAD, and urban modeling software for data-driven planning decisions.
* Prepare technical reports, planning proposals, and policy recommendations for senior management and government entities.

Requirements:
The successful candidate will be a highly experienced urban planner with at least 15 years of expertise in master planning and infrastructure development, including 10+ years in the GCC.
Deep understanding of land-use planning, zoning regulations, smart city solutions, and sustainable urban development. Proficient in GIS, AutoCAD, and urban modeling tools, they will excel in integrating transportation networks, utilities, and public spaces into large-scale projects.
Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and regulatory compliance skills will be essential, along with the ability to navigate complex approval processes and urban policies.
A master's degree in Urban Planning or a related field, along with professional certifications such as AICP, RICS, or LEED AP, will be highly advantageous.
