User Interface/User Experience Designer

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and talented UI/UX designer who is motivated to create delightful, user-centric products and experiences. The ideal candidate would be working on an agile team alongside front-end and back-end developers and product managers. You will make design decisions that help translate business requirements and technical limitations into intuitive user interfaces. The role spans the gamut from front-end user research and feedback to definition of user flows and wireframes, mockups and prototypes as well as the design of the interface and its components.

What You’ll Do

• Work as an integral part of the agile team. Collaborating closely with front-end and back-end developers, product managers and others
• Use your tools to create, revise and use wireframes, user flows, prototypes to communicate your interaction ideas
• Present and defend your design decisions which should be based on your fundamental design principles and your own assessment of the user need
• Consider the unique interface requirements imposed by mobile devices
• Work on high impact features that affect thousands of users daily

Requirements

What You’ll Need
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Interaction Design, Human Factors, or a related field
• At least 3 years experience as an interaction designer
• A creative portfolio which will be presented and reviewed during the interview process
• Hands-on experience creating prototypes, user flows, storyboards, wireframes, etc.
• Experience with interface creation tools such as Adobe Creative Suite/Photoshop, InVision, etc.
• Understanding of basic front-end languages: HTML, CSS, Javascript.
• Experience with both web and mobile interface design
• Graphics design skills
• Creative ideas with a problem solving mindset
• Be open to receiving objective criticism and improving upon it
• A passion for products, empathy for users, and aspiration to make big impact
• Ability to decompose complex problems and guiding a team in solving them
