VAT and Tax Senior Assoicate

Job description / Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented VAT Analyst to join our accounting team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing VAT compliance, ensuring accurate tax reporting, and supporting overall financial operations within the organization.

Responsibilities:
- Review and analyse VAT transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with UAE tax regulations.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns within the prescribed deadlines.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external auditors on VAT-related matters.
- Monitor changes in VAT legislation and advise the organization on implications.
- Assist in the preparation of VAT audits and resolve any queries with tax authorities.
- Maintain comprehensive VAT records and documentation for audit purposes.
- Provide support and guidance on VAT-related issues to various business units.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with VAT compliance and reporting, preferably in the UAE.
- Strong understanding of UAE VAT laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.
- Proficient in accounting software and MS Office applications, especially Excel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
