Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Job Purpose:
• Lead the implementation, testing and post project review of the VAT changes for the company.
• Oversee wider project changes in Finance as required, including the Optimization of customer payment allocation, dealing with complaints and the establishment of automation to lessen the need for human involvement and improve customer experience.
• Lead a review to identify any areas of control weakness and make recommendations as required, overseeing necessary remedial actions.

Job Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Leadership:
• A critical function of this position will be to build positive relationships with the key stakeholders in the business and wider Finance team. The role holder should ensure that all individuals are aware of the part they play in successful delivery and carefully track progress against milestones.
• Develop innovative and pragmatic solutions to problems
• Inspire peers and the wider organisation to attain world-class outcomes and the highest standards of efficiency, compliance and reporting.

Delivery:
• Adopt a delivery focused mindset in everything we do. Set stretching and ambitious goals and build milestones backwards from that point.
• Lead on weekly StreerCos, identifying quickly any problem areas and jointly develop action plans to solve.
• Lead on Senior executive reporting with a clear, easy to understand communication style.

Process Improvement:
• Work relentlessly to identify and realize opportunities to automate and deploy robotics and system-solutions to remove the need for manual work.
• Aim to limit human adjustments and involvement in the recording of monthly results and onward reporting as much as possible.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant
• Minimum 2-year Post-Qualification experience

Skillset (job specific technical skills and behavioral competencies needed)
• Qualified, chartered Accountant
• Strong Financial Control and Accounting background
• Evidence of change management leadership
• Excellent communication skills with stakeholders of all levels
• Action-orientated with a “Can-do” attitude
• Ability to lead and influence peers and senior management
• Big-4 Professional firm or large multi-national experience an advantage
• Financial Services experience an advantage
