Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

An Assistant is required to support the Middle East Vendors Team with the initial screening and onboarding of all external vendors for this global management consultancy. This role is fully involved and therefore requires the individual to have a flexible and diligent approach to their day-to-day work schedule. As the organisation is within the professional services sector, they have developed exceptionally strong relationships with Executive Leaders, Managing Directors and Partners in the region and this role will collaborate across all geographical locations and with the corporate head office regularly.

You will assist the team to evaluate all new and current vendors and will therefore possess a keen eye for detail to ensure contracts and services are of the highest standard. There should also be a clear understanding of potential supplier risks, as you will be expected to conduct risk assessments and make recommendations to mitigate this to the senior team; providing a solution driven thought process.

Communicating regularly with the vendors you will ensure they have a strong understanding of the key operational and compliance factors from a legal, finance, HR and data protection standpoint. It is also expected that the Vendor Management Assistant will ensure these principals are followed, as you will conduct regular service quality reviews throughout the year.

Implementation of the company’s policies and an understanding of a range of supplier agreements and subcontracting processes, you will play a proactive role in the communication of such to business owners and internal and external stakeholders. Drafting and reviewing basic agreements and working closely with the wider finance, compliance and legal teams to ensure all contractual agreements are appropriate and compliant, this is a busy, hands-on role for those with a minimum of 2 years of vendor management experience.

Requirements

In order to be successful, you should possess a relevant degree in legal, compliance or risk and have previous experience in a similar role where you have been exposed to contract writing and amendments, risk assessments and business intelligence tools. Therefore, an advanced level of the full MS office suite is also essential to this position. Strong communication skills and an organised approach to competing deadlines are the additional skills also required for this position.
