Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Job purpose: To lead sales and customer experience in line with the overall business objectives of Al Tayer Motors and brand-specific requirements of the principals, and participate in the definition of a brand-portfolio strategy for Al Tayer Motors to achieve desired revenues and market shares across the United Arab Emirates.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Responsibilities
* Participate in the development of Al Tayer Motors strategy by providing input from the brand, ensuring that relevant goals and objectives are incorporated
* Develop and manage the implementation of the strategy/plan for brand management and sales of the brand, in alignment with Al Tayer Motor's strategy
* Establish both, monthly and annual sales objectives for the brands in alignment with Al Tayer Motor's overall sales targets
* Develop, consolidate, and refine overall budget of brand and enforce its implementation while ensuring adherence to pre-set targets
* Manage and develop profits and loss of the brand while driving market growth
* Review periodic reports to measure the performance of the brand and oversee the successful implementation of their plan

Risk Management Roles and Responsibilities
* Manage the function's risks in the most effective and efficient way to ensure achievement of the function's objectives
* Communicate and consult with relevant internal and external stakeholders to identify risks and mitigate them as per pre-defined frameworks and procedures
* Ensure proper documentation of risks and mitigations using Al Tayer's risk register and system in use
* Raise awareness across team about the importance of risk and about the risk management policies and processes in use at Al Tayer Motors
* Attend actively risk management meetings and ensure that the function he/she is in charge of is properly represented and that any risks are escalated in a proactive manner

Operational Roles and Responsibilities

Brand Approach, Awareness, and Development
* Contribute towards the overall marketing strategy by working closely with Marketing Manager and prepare plan and approach for brand management, ensuring this plan are aligned with brand guidelines of the principal
* Oversee implementation of branding standards and management of marketing materials and showrooms in alignment with principal's requirements
* Ensure marketing plans and campaigns for the brand effectively support the sales objectives and are in line with the guidelines from the respective principal
* Embed industry good practice into Al Tayer Motor's ways of working, and ensure compliance to policies and procedures and principals' requirements
* Maintain a network of business contacts and relationships within the market to increase market awareness, obtain market/competitor intelligence and customer preference information

Sales Operations
* Set sales targets and direct sales operations in order to achieve the agreed targets and objectives
* Review and monitor future sales plan implementation and results achieved, and report to Al Tayer Motors CEO on a regular basis on the performance of sales
* Make necessary changes to the sales plan to adapt to unexpected changes in the business environment
* Monitor sales processes (e.g. customer contact and reception, clarification of need, etc.) to ensure overall quality in the entire process
* Manage Sales Admin team and ensure proper support is given all the time to sales operations of the brand.
* Establish and ensure the implementation of pricing policies which will achieve the profitability objectives of the brand
* Ensure effective sharing of good practices and knowledge within sales and across the different auto-brands
* Coordinate closely with After Sales Senior Vice President and the General Manager Service in order to ensure high levels of quality and service delivery throughout the customer lifetime journey

Showroom Management
* Oversee new shop projects from design to store execution and opening per brand specification/image by ensuring proper execution with General Services with regards to facilities management

Logistics Management
* Oversee logistics processes and continued visibility on shipments to showrooms

Product Training
* Oversee product related training processes and ensure training needs are properly identified
* Oversee implementation of brand related training programs while ensuring proper coordination with Principal and Human Resources

Customer Relationship
* Oversee the implementation of customer service standards in the showrooms, and ensure efficient handling of complaints; highlight any issues and make recommendations to the CEO on potential impact on efficiency and effectiveness

Dealer Standards and Compliance with Principal Requirements
* Manage dealer standards compliance and ensure proper and efficient implementation for requirements and standards set by the principal
* Monitor knowledge sharing and skills transfer and build up on lessons learned
* Ensure corrective action plans related to dealer standards are effectively communicated and implemented

Performance Management
* Engage internal stakeholders throughout the year in compliance matters such as government compliance and dealer standards or principal requirements
* Manage performance of brand management by monitoring brand awareness, measuring effectiveness of marketing campaigns, keeping abreast of changes in marketing trends, etc.
* Ensure requirements of government related compliance and principal standards are efficiently updated and implemented within concerned functions in Brand Management and Sales
* Review reports issued from Autoline periodically in order to monitor the performance of the business and the people

People Management Roles and Responsibilities
* Provide leadership and direction to subordinates towards the achievement of goals and objectives
* Guide, motivate, and evaluate subordinates on their performance, productivity and progress, while identifying training needs of team members to improve efficiency and ensure conformity with standard procedures and practices
* Ensure that team members acquire the required skills and knowledge through appropriate training programs including product/brand related training, while identifying the appropriate gaps and training costs/benefits to ensure budgetary parameters are met
* Ensure potential successors are identified, developed, and trained for succession planning

Requirements

* Bachelors Degree, preferably in a business oriented discipline. Masters Degree will be a plus.
* Minimum 15 to 20 years of experience in sales within the automotive sector, with at least three to four years of experience in a Senior Brand & Sales Management role. Luxury Automotive experience will be a plus.
