Videographer & Photographer

Job description / Role

Responsible for photography and videography on Blaze advertising and commercial content projects. Advising on visual style, narrative and creative during post-production including dynamic use of composition, contrast, colour, and photographic techniques. Responsible to capture high quality photography and videography in all aspects.

Job Scope:

- Internal: Be an integral part of the Blaze Team delivering high quality still photography and videography creative.
- External: Create eye catching and high quality visual content, representing and upholding the brand values when working with clients.

Key Accountabilities:

- To efficiently handle all photography assignments either in-house or on location.
- To successfully download the pictures taken and assign relevant captions to them.
- To handover the complete assignment to the respective departments.

Editor - Job Description:

- Responsible for still photography and videography across different project styles and genres.
- Able to work efficiently and in a timely manner when under pressure.
- Knowledgeable to provide input and expertise in storyboarding and planning with creative ideas and technical insight.
- Will sometimes be required to capture video and provide technical support on location.
- Responsible for the management and on time delivery as per agreed project contract.
- Must be able to develop new ideas quickly and present them clearly.
- Must ensure that client media is properly managed, backed up and easily accessible.
- Must display an agile approach and a willingness to work during unsociable hours and weekends.
- To provide any other duties as assigned by the Blaze Director to support the Blaze team.

Knowledge:

Education/ Qualifications/ Experience:

- Adobe Creative Suite (Mandatory)
- Advanced Videography & Still photography (Mandatory)
- At least 4 years of experience and ability to provide filming/photography advice and solutions.
- Being conversant with UAE Press, Publication and Copyright laws.
- Being aware of the religious sensitivities of the Middle East.
- Must be competent with Sony A7s / Canon 5D /Panasonic GH5 or equivalents DSLR cameras, and experience with Sony FS5 or FS7 , Red / Arri Alexa and equivalent video cameras.
- Preferably a bachelor’s degree and a post-graduate design qualification.
